Karina Kelly has been painting for over 20 years. Her work, which moves between abstraction and semi-figurative art, is characterized by a vibrant floral theme.
She creates striking works in which vivid colors bring depth and dimension to each composition. Her paint is applied primarily with a palette knife, in rich, textured layers that give each piece a captivating presence.
Karina also knows when to let the canvas breathe, leaving areas of the composition open and softer, creating a beautiful balance between intensity and subtlety.
Each work is infused with emotional energy and a powerful ability to evoke feelings and memories.
Biography
A self-taught artist, Karina Kelly began developing her painting practice in 2005, learning from several professional painters.
It was not until 2017, however, that she decided to devote herself fully to her career as an artist.
Over the years, Karina has taken part in numerous solo exhibitions, art symposiums, and group exhibitions. Her work has also earned her several prestigious awards in international competitions.
After being represented by several art galleries across Quebec, she is now a permanent artist with Galeries Beauchamp.
Her works are part of collections belonging to several companies, as well as private collectors throughout North America, Europe, Australia and beyond.
Deeply involved in her community, Karina is a professional member of BLEU – The Group of Artists and Craftspeople of Île d’Orléans. She also had the privilege of serving as Chair of its Board of Directors for five years.

When she creates, Karina allows herself to be guided by instinct and emotion.
She creates vibrant, contemporary works in which bright colors bring her floral compositions to life. Primarily applied with a palette knife in rich, textured layers, the paint adds depth and dimension to her paintings.
Through confident brushstrokes and expressive use of color, Karina’s work radiates joy, optimism, and a positive energy that are central to her artistic vision. These emotions are beautifully conveyed through her art, creating works that invite the viewer to feel and connect with them.

THE ARTIST RECEIVES A SCHOLARSHIP
At the DécouvART 2019 event, organized by the Proaction International Foundation, Karina Kelly was one of six finalists selected from more than fifty applications by a jury of her peers.
She was also awarded a scholarship by the Foundation.
The event aimed to promote the visibility of Quebec painters. The competition culminated in an evening event attended by more than two hundred guests.
The Proaction International Foundation’s mission is to support artists in recognition of their dedication and creativity—qualities that contribute to the development of our communities and enrich our lives.
