Karina Kelly has been a painter for 20 years. Her art, both abstract and semi-figurative, is characterized by a vibrant floral theme. The artist creates striking works, whose vivid colors highlight the depth of the composition. The paint, applied primarily with a palette knife in thick layers, results in captivating pieces. She knows how to allow the canvas to breathe by leaving some areas free, even softer. Each work is imbued with an emotional vibrancy and a powerful evocative quality.

Biography
A self-taught artist, Karina Kelly began learning to paint in 2005 from various professional painters, but it was only in 2017 that she began to devote all her time to her career as a painter.
Having participated in several solo exhibitions, numerous symposiums and artist exhibitions, Karina even won some prestigious prizes in international competitions.
After being represented in various art galleries in Quebec, she is now a permanent artist at Galeries Beauchamp.
His works are collected by several companies, as well as by several private collectors in North America, Europe, and Australia.
Involved in her community, she is a professional member of BLEU – The group of artists and craftspeople of Île d'Orléans, of which she had the privilege of chairing the board of directors for 5 years.

When she is creating, Karina lets herself be guided by her instinct and her emotions.
She creates vibrant, contemporary works, whose bright colors make her floral compositions stand out. The paint, primarily applied with a palette knife in thick layers, adds depth to her paintings.

Award of excellence

Sotck exchange
At the DécouvART 2019 event, organized by the Proaction International Foundation, Karina Kelly was among the six finalists selected from over fifty applications by a jury of peers.
She was also a recipient of a scholarship offered by the Foundation.
This event aimed to promote the visibility of Quebec painters. An evening event in front of more than two hundred guests was the culmination of this competition.
The Proaction International Foundation's mission is to support artists through their dedication and creativity, which contribute to the development of our societies and enrich our lives.
